My father, Dr. Ahmad Boustani, was a pioneer of dentistry in Syria and the heart of our family. When his health declined, we faced a question many families know well: how to provide the best care while keeping him at home.
My mother made that possible. With unwavering devotion, she cared for him daily, ensuring he remained surrounded by family and dignity until his final moments. As his son, I helped guide her through the complexities of care so she never had to face them alone. We were fortunate—we had the knowledge, tools, and support to protect both his quality of life and her well-being.
